Training for the Future of Adult Learning
The importance of Community Learning & Development approaches to work with communities on a range of national policy priorities has never been stronger. Voluntary sector Adult Learning practitioners and managers can add value to their work by being more aware of the nature of Community Learning & Development and how to integrate its approaches into their working practices.
Learning Link, in partnership with LWTT have developed a short course designed to introduce participants to the core concepts and skills involved in Community Learning & Development.
There are six elements
Introduction to Community Learning & Development
The Empowerment of Communities
Partnerships in Community Learning & Development
Developing Learning Opportunities in Community Learning & Development
Organisation & Management in Community Learning & Development
Evaluation & Research in Community Learning & Development
Each network will have the opportunity to undertake this training. Training may be undertaken, either as a series of six on-day sessions, three two day sessions, or one full week school.
The training is participative and will employ a mix of taught input, group exercises, reflection on experience and thinking about its application to the workplace.
Adult
Learning practitioners with an interest in working more effectively with
communities will benefit from participation in this training.
