Why should I bother
 with Continuing Professional Development (CPD)?

If you were to apply for your current job now, would you get it?
Are you sure that your skills and knowledge are up to date?
Are you making the most of every opportunity, giving your best and receiving the best possible reward for your efforts?
Are you ready for the next stage in your career? If you can answer 'Yes' to all of these questions, you are probably already involved in a CPD programme.  Congratulations!

But if you've answered 'No' take a look at LWTT's IMPACT's CPD Network

SURF Regeneration Best Practice Awards 2004

Linked Work and Training Trust was delighted to receive a Highly Commended Award in the 'People'  category at an Awards Dinner at the Radisson Hotel in Glasgow on the 9th December 2004.

Cathy Peattie, MSP, Chairperson of LWTT accepted it on behalf of the Trust from Johann Lamont, Deputy Minister for Communities.

"Based in Grangemouth and established in 1995, the Linked Work and Training Trust provides a work based, professional training programme that offers local people the opportunity to work in regeneration and community development agencies in their own area and simultaneously train them to degree level in Community Learning and Development.   Working in closely with Glasgow University and other partners, it has an excellent record of retention and success with 22 of the 24 students recruited to the course having graduated and secured relevant employment.   The LWTT model is an outstanding example of capacity building and is assisting other communities across Scotland to develop their own local provision, based on the same approach.   The Trust is now also adopting its successful model for communities of interest"
