Community Learning & Development

LWTT were asked to develop a short course designed to introduce participants to the core concepts and skills involved in Community Learning and Development.

There are six elements

•     Introduction to Community Learning & Development

•     The Empowerment of Communities

•     Partnerships in Community Learning & Development

•     Developing Learning Opportunities in Community Learning & Development

•     Organisation & Management in Community Learning & Development

•     Evaluation & Research in Community Learning & Development

Each Adult Learning had the opportunity to undertake the training and it was run in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Forth Valley and Dumfries & Galloway.

The training was run either as a series of six one-day sessions, three two day sessions, or one full week school.  It was participative and employed a mix of taught input, group exercises, reflection on experience and thinking about its application to the workplace.

Community Leadership

We were also asked to develop a short course designed to introduce participants to the core concepts and skills involved in Community Leadership.
