Whats' New

Why should I bother
 with Continuing Professional Development (CPD)?

If you were to apply for your current job now, would you get it?
Are you sure that your skills and knowledge are up to date?
Are you making the most of every opportunity, giving your best and receiving the best possible reward for your efforts?
Are you ready for the next stage in your career? If you can answer 'Yes' to all of these questions, you are probably already involved in a CPD programme.  Congratulations!

But if you've answered 'No' take a look at LWTT's IMPACT's CPD Network

Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for Environmental Projects

We worked with the Scottish Community Development Centre for Greenspace, Scotland, an organisation providing a national lead on local action to improve the green environment within and around urban settlements in Scotland.   We were contracted to develop a monitoring and evaluation framework which would measure outputs and outcomes of greenspace activity, not just in environmental terms but also in relation to health, leisure, enterprise, heritage.

We visited a range of greenspace projects to familiarise ourselves with the type of activity and to talk to workers and users about any concerns they may have, their concept of success, what they wanted the evaluation framework to do.   We organised a series of working groups with investors, partner agencies, workers and user communities to help shape the framework, develop a suggested menu of output and outcome indicators and develop accessible and user-friendly ways to collect information.    The Scottish Executive, Health Board Scotland, Communities Scotland and Scottish Enterprise have all participating in the development of the framework and assessing its wider use.
