Why should I bother
 with Continuing Professional Development (CPD)?

If you were to apply for your current job now, would you get it?
Are you sure that your skills and knowledge are up to date?
Are you making the most of every opportunity, giving your best and receiving the best possible reward for your efforts?
Are you ready for the next stage in your career? If you can answer 'Yes' to all of these questions, you are probably already involved in a CPD programme.  Congratulations!

But if you've answered 'No' take a look at LWTT's IMPACT's CPD Network

Competences for Community Learning
 and Development

The Interim Standards Council commissioned a refresh of the competences for CLD in Scotland in August 2008.  The brief was to update the competences in line with recent research and changes in both the policy context and the CLD field since 1995, when they were created by CeVe.

This work was undertaken by LWTT leading a consortium of Youthlink Scotland, Avante Consulting and SCDC.

The new competences are now available for employers and training providers to use when supporting staff development at any level.

The summary report is available to view. The full report and more information is available on the CLD Standards Council for Scotland website.
